This is our final summer concert of the summer series before we take a 1 month break before beginning rehearsals for the fall.  There will be a 15 minute pre-concert by Dixieland Band Combo.  The performance includes our annual “Children’s Directing Contest”.  Children (of ages usually 3 or 4 years to 8 or 9 years old) are invited to the stage as a group, given a straw as a baton and allowed to face the audience and “direct” as the band plays a march.  Prizes are awarded to all who participate.
